Mark Twain Festival

In conjunction with "One Book, One Community," Bradley Public Library will host a "Mark Twain Festival" Friday, October 28th, 2011 from 4:00 -6:00 p.m.

  • Dress in your best Huckleberry Finn, Tom Sawyer, Mark Twain costume or any other character from your favorite Mark Twain stories.  Prizes for the best costume will be given out!
  • Make and Take: Create your very own replica flat boat and other great crafts.
  • Learn about and sample foods from the era of Huck Finn and Tom Sawyer.
  • Learn the basics of fishing! Local fishing anglers will discuss casting, knots, equipment, fishing strategies and fly selection for cold and warm water and great Illinois fishing locations.  Bradley Public Library will provide all the equipment, just bring a willingness to have fun and learn.  A chance to win great prizes and giveaways for all participants.
