On Beyond Mother Goose is a story time class for our knowledge seeking preschoolers and their caregivers.  This class focuses on rhyme, song, and stories to enhance the early experiences of language and communication.  A one time registration is required.  This class will be on the third Tuesday of the month at 10 a.m., lasting approximately 45 minutes.

Start: 4:30 pm

The American Girl/Fancy Nancy club meets the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 4:30 p.m.  The programs will run simultaneously.  Each group will discuss a story and participate in a craft/game.  Dolls are welcome to the programs.  Pre-registration is only required at the beginning to sign up your child for the year.  Children are welcome to join the club at any time.

Start: 6:30 pm

In this class participants will become acquainted with a vast array of quality resources available via the Internet and Bradley Library hosted online resources. We will take advantage of Library access to subscription databases Ancestry.com and Heritage Quest. We will pay special attention to census records, as these records often contain rich veins of genealogical data. A basic understanding of online computer skills is necessary to participate.

  • Each class requires a $5.00 deposit per seat, which will be refunded to you when you attend the class or cancel at least 24 hours prior to class start time.  If the library needs to cancel a class, you will receive your deposit back.
  • Students must hav experience with a computer, and be able to use a mouse and keyboard prior to attending all classes except Basic Computer Skills I.  Any other prerequisites are listed with the course description.
  • You must register for each class at least 24 hours prior to start time.  Registrations must be made at the library due to the deposit requirement.
  • The library reserves the right to cancel a computer class due to low enrollment or scheduling conflicts, in which case notification will be attempted at least 72 hours prior to class start time.  In the event of a class cancellation due to staff illness, power or Internet failure, inclement weather, or other emergency, the library will contact you as soon as possible.

StoryTime is a program for children 3 -5 years of age.  There are two storytime classes to pick from:  Tuesday nights at 6:30 (bilingual) or Thursday mornings at 1000 a.m.  this program consists of storytelling at the beginning and a parent-assisted craft to follow.  Parents/guardians are required to stay for this program.  This program encourages the love of reading, learning to sit still, following directions, and practicing social skills.   Weekly registration is requested for this program, call the library for more information or to register your child.  Tuesday evenings program will be bilingual.
