This class is for the abolute beginner.  We will turn on the computer, learn to use the mouse and keyboard, start a program, and turn the computer off.  Learn about organizing your computer's files and folders, customizing your desktop and screensaver, and using the recycle bin.

Wiggles & Giggles is a movement class for active preschoolers and their caregivers.  This class will help the preschoolers to learn coordination and body awareness through imitation and imagery, with the use of music, movement, fun, and fitness.  A one time registration is required.  This class will be on the first Tuesday of the month at 10 a.m., lasting approximately 45 minutes.  Wear comfortable clothing.

This club is for readers in 3rd to 5th grae.  This club will meet once a month on the 1st Tuesday of each month at 4:30 p.m.  There will be required reading of a book, discussion and craft/science about the book will follow.  At each meeting the next book will be announced and available to check out at the counter.  this program should encourage children to read new books, comprehension, and social skills.  Pre-registration is only required at the beginning to sign up your child for the year.  Children are welcome to join the club at any time.

Bradley Public Library will host an informative hands-on discussion led by a Barnes and Noble representative, to help you learn what an E-Reader is and answer all your NOOK questions.  Also, learn about the MyMediaMall free eBook downloadable database provided to Bradley cardholders through the Bradley Public Library website.

Sessions will be hosted at Bradley Public Library Wednesday, November 17th at 1:00 p.m.  and Monday, November 22nd at 7 p.m.  RSVP is encouraged by calling the library at 815-932-6245.

  • Each class requires a $5.00 deposit per seat, which will be refunded to you when you attend the class or cancel at least 24 hours prior to class start time.  If the library needs to cancel a class, you will receive your deposit back.
  • Students must hav experience with a computer, and be able to use a mouse and keyboard prior to attending all classes except Basic Computer Skills I.  Any other prerequisites are listed with the course description.
  • You must register for each class at least 24 hours prior to start time.  Registrations must be made at the library due to the deposit requirement.
  • The library reserves the right to cancel a computer class due to low enrollment or scheduling conflicts, in which case notification will be attempted at least 72 hours prior to class start time.  In the event of a class cancellation due to staff illness, power or Internet failure, inclement weather, or other emergency, the library will contact you as soon as possible.

This program is for children in Kindergarten to 2nd grade.  The class will meet every Monday at 4:30 p.m. at the library.  Parents are not required to stay with the child, but are encouraged to stay in the library.  This one-hour program will consist of sharing stories together, learning new facts about the books, and a project related to the story.  This program should help young readers with comprehension, and reinforce the reading skills of older readers.  Pre-registration is only required at the beginning to sign up your child for the year.  Children may sign up at any tme.

Bradley Public Library will host an informative hands-on discussion led by a Barnes and Noble representative, to help you learn what an E-Reader is and answer all your NOOK questions.  Also, learn about the MyMediaMall free eBook downloadable database provided to Bradley cardholders through the Bradley Public Library website.

Sessions will be hosted at Bradley Public Library Wednesday, November 17th at 1:00 p.m.  and Monday, November 22nd at 7 p.m.  RSVP is encouraged by calling the library at 815-932-6245.

Discovery Zone is a science class for our budding explorers and their caregivers.  This class is designed to promote curiousity, creative problem solving, and self-esteem in your young child.  This class offers them the opportunity to learn about science through hands-on activity.  A one time registration is required.  This class will be on the fourth Tuesday of the month at 10 a.m., lasting approximately 45 minutes.  Wear old clothing or bring a paint shirt.

Discover the joy of recycling.  come and learn new ways to be environmentally friendly through experiments, crafts, and hand-on activities.  This group will meet the 4th Tuesday of the month at 4:30 p.m.  Pre-registration is required.

Bounce & Tickle is a parent/child interaction class intended for the babies 0-12 months of age.  This 1/2 hour class will provide enjoyment with your child through music, movement, games, and bonding.  Weekly registration is required.

Our homeschool programs provide an active and inviting place that will offer effective learning experiences for your children.  Homeschool programs will be offered throughout the year.  Pre-registration is required.  You may sign up any time during the year.  Check library website for classes offered, dates, and times.

Art classes meet every Friday at 4:30 p.m.  This class is open to all school age children.  The 1st and 3rd Fridays will be geared toward children K-3rd.  The 2nd and 4th Fridays will be for children 4th-8th grade.  The classes will talk about drawing techniques, shading, proportion, perspective, etc.

Pre-registration is only required at the beginning to sign up your child for the year.  Children are welcome to join the club at any time.
