Wiggles and Giggles is a movement class for active preschoolers and their caregivers.  This class will help the preschoolers to learn coordination and body awareness through imitation and imagery, with the use of music, movement, fun, and fitness.  This class will be on the first Thursday of the month at 10 am, lasting approximately 45 minutes.  Wear comfortable clothing.  Registration is required.

This class is for the absolute beginner.  Learn what the mouse is and what you use the mouse for.  We will also learn to use the mouse in this hands on class.  

  • Students must hav experience with a computer, and be able to use a mouse and keyboard prior to attending all classes except Basic Computer Skills I.  Any other prerequisites are listed with the course description.
  • You must register for each class at least 24 hours prior to start time. 
  • The library reserves the right to cancel a computer class due to low enrollment or scheduling conflicts, in which case notification will be attempted at least 72 hours prior to class start time.  In the event of a class cancellation due to staff illness, power or Internet failure, inclement weather, or other emergency, the library will contact you as soon as possible.

This club is for readers in 3rd to 5th grade.  This club will meet once a month on the 1st Tuesday of each month at 4:30 p.m.  and will last around 1 hour.  There will be required reading of a book, discussion and craft/science about the book.  All books will be announced at the beginning and available to check out at each class.  This program will encourage children to read new books, comprehension, and social skills.  Registration is required.  Children are welcome to join the club at anytime.

Check out what's happening after school!  This program is for 3rd to 8th graders and will meet on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month starting at 4:00 p.m.  Programs may include, but not limited to: science, art, games, and activities.  This program is intended to connect children to literacy in a fun, active, and exciting way.  Registration is required, but children may join throughout the year.

Your children can discover the love of reading, improve their reading skills, or even boost their self-esteem by reading with a trained, licensed and certified therapy dog.

If your child would like to read to a dog, you will register at the library.  All children must be pre-registered for the program.  Children must be accompanied by an adult.

In this class, we'll cover what MyMediaMall is and take a closer look at other downloadable book vendors.  Learn how to download content,  search and use downloadable devices like the Kindle and Nook.  Experience with Internet is required.

Discover spreadsheets with Microsoft Excel.  In this introductory course, you'll learn to enter data, format your spreadsheet, and perform basic calculations.   Spreadsheets can be used to track slaes and expenses, create budgets, and more.

StoryTime is an hour long program for children 3-6 years of age.  There are two storytime classes to pick from:  Thursday at 10:30 a.m.  or at 7:00 p.m.   This program consists of storytelling at the beginning followed by a parent-assisted craft.  Parents/guardians are required to stay for this program.  This program encourages the love of reading, learning to sit still, following directions, and practicing social skills.  Registration is required.

Art classes meet every Friday at 4:30 p.m.  and last around 1 hour.  This class is open to all school age children.  The 1st and 3rd Fridays are open to K-4th graders and the 2nd and 4th Fridays are open to 5th graders and older.  The class will talk about artists, drawing techinques, illustrators, etc.  An art project related to the technique discussed will be presented.  Registration is required.  Children are welcome to join anytime.

This program is for children in Kindergarten to 2nd grade.  The class will meet every Monday at 4:30 p.m. and last around 45 min. at the library.  Parents are not required to stay with the child, but are encouraged to stay in the library.   This 45 min. program will consist of sharing stories together, learning new facts about the books, and a project related to the story.  This program should help young readers with comprehension, and reinforce the reading skills of older readers.  Registration is required.  Children may join at anytime.
